In December 2012, the teaching affairs office of senior high school department organized all math teachers to have an in-depth research and discussion on issues such as the necessity, effect and perfection of the use of linkage teaching materials for math of junior and senior high schools. The seminar was chaired by Yu Qiusheng, the math director of the senior high school department.
At the beginning of this term, the senior high school department organized a four-week learning program of linkage teaching materials for the math, physics and chemistry of junior and senior high school among the students of Senior One. This explorative and experimental teaching achieved a distinctive effect. According to the questionnaire conducted by the teaching affairs office among the students of Senior One and Two, 89% of the students believed it very necessary to learn the linkage teaching materials for math of junior and senior high schools, while 78.7% of the students of Senior One believed that the learning program achieved a very good effect. Through the learning of linkage teaching materials, the students could smoothly transition in knowledge to the math of senior high school, and naturally transition to the learning methods, which had enabled objectively the students to get used to the learning of math of senior high school very quickly.
Through this seminar, everyone unanimously believed that it was a valuable and meaningful thing to organize learning of linkage teaching material for the Senior One students. The math team of senior high school department would make concerted efforts to turn the linkage teaching material for math of junior and senior high schools into an excellent course.
